The Opening of Music Development Centre
The Music Development Centre has officially opened, and we are now accepting registration!! Our curriculum is set, our location is set, and we are ready to get started!
I am so crazy excited, and I wanted to go over the outline of my classes!
Music Pups Class
Infants-4 year olds.
*each child with a parent or caregiver.
Fun filled classes of singing, dancing, movement and instrument play. Parents learn how to enrich their child's music environment, increase music potential and understand music development.
Each class is 45 minutes long. Families receive a CD and songbook with a broad variety of sounds and activities designed to stimulate musical learning. Our library of 11 CDs allows your family to enjoy class for almost three years with all new music each session. Mixed age classes are developmentally appropriate and allow siblings to enjoy class together.
Music Cats Class
Ages 4-5
*each with a parent or caregiver
Music Cats® includes the same FUN spirit as Music Pups®, with more challenging activities designed to capitalize on the ability and creativity of “big kids”. Each class is 45 minutes long. Families receive a copy of the current Music Pups CD and songbook plus an additional Music Cats practice CD. We strongly encourage students interested in taking our Keyboard Class to take Music Cats first.
Goals of Music Cats:
Improve pitch and rhythm skills. In addition to Music Pups style singing and movement activities, we include individualized tonal and rhythm instruction each week to challenge each student at his or her own level.
Develop critical listening skills, such as the ability to identify when notes are correct or incorrect when listening to familiar songs.
Learn about instruments. We introduce band and orchestra instruments, and practice identifying the sounds they produce.
Experience playing keyboards. Fun keyboarding activities help prepare our students for future keyboard or piano lessons.
Develop creative listening skills. When listening to classical music, we ask our students to use their imagination to create a picture in their mind of what the music makes them think of.

Our private lessons focus on the learning style of each individual student to ensure you/your child is receiving the best education possible.
